Mycena flavescens Vel. syn. M. luteo-alba var. sulphureo-marginata Lange Gelblicher Helmling. Cap 0.5–1cm across, conical, yellowish grey, paler when dry. Stem 30–60 x 1–2mm, pale buff-grey, base covered in fine white down. Flesh thin, white. Taste mild, smell none. Gills adnate, whitish with yellow edge. Cheilocystidia 12–34m wide, clavate, densely covered at apex with minute warts. Spore print whitish-yellow. Spores ellipsoid, amyloid, 8–10 x 4–5.5um. Habitat in leaf litter under mixed broad-leaves often on sandy soil. Season autumn. Rare. Edible but not worthwhile -avoid. Found In Europe.
